Collaborative Robot-Assisted Surface Treatment

WissProKMU, the scientific companion project to our applied research project ProBot, has published a video showcasing one of our contributions in the ProBot project. To enable engineers at Maus GmbH to automate repetitive and physically demanding grinding tasks, we developed two sensor-based software solutions for robot-assisted grinding based on zero-force control. A collaborative solution allows the worker to guide the motion of the robot in real time, while a coexistence solution realizes near-autonomous robotic grinding.
