Area of application

This privacy policy provides users with information about the type, scope and purpose of the collection and use of their data by the responsible provider.

The legal framework for the data protection declaration is the european General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Collection of general information

With each access to this offer, information is automatically collected by us or the web space provider. This information, also referred to as server log files, is of a general nature and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about you personally.

Among other things, the following information is collected: Name of the website, file, date, data volume, web browser and web browser version, operating system, the domain name of your Internet provider, the so-called referrer URL (the page from which you accessed our offer) and the IP address.

Without this data, it would not be technically possible to deliver and display the contents of the website. In this respect, the collection of the data is mandatory. In addition, we use the anonymous information for statistical purposes. These help us to optimize the offer and the technology. We also reserve the right to subsequently check the log files if we suspect illegal use of our offer. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR.

Use of Matomo

This website uses Matomo (https://matomo.org/), a privacy-friendly web analytics software, for statistical analysis of visitor traffic. This tool sets a cookie to distinguish individual users from each other. Your data will only be processed anonymously (IP anonymization). The information generated is stored on the website operator’s server in Germany and is not passed on to third parties. Among other things, the approximate geographical location, terminal device, screen resolution, browser and pages visited, including the length of stay, are evaluated

Use of YouTube

We use the YouTube.com platform to embed videos on our website. YouTube is the service of a third party not affiliated with us, namely YouTube LLC. The operator is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Normally, when you call up a page with embedded videos, your IP address is already sent to YouTube and cookies are installed on your computer. However, we use YouTube in extended data protection mode. However, YouTube still contacts Google’s Double Klick service, but according to Google’s privacy policy, personal data is not evaluated in the process. As a result, YouTube no longer stores information about visitors as long as the videos are not started. When you click on the video, your IP address is transmitted to YouTube. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

If applicable, further data processing operations may be triggered after the start of a YouTube video, over which we have no influence. You can find more information in YouTube’s privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR. Your data may be transferred to the USA, where there level of data protection might not be comparable to that in the EU.

Your data subject rights

Insofar as you have given us consent to process your data for specific purposes, the lawfulness of this processing is hereby given. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future.

In accordance with Art. 21 GDPR, you have the right, insofar as the processing of your data is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority or for the protection of the legitimate interests of the controller, to object to this processing at any time for the future. This also applies to profiling based on these provisions. If your particular situation gives rise to grounds that conflict with this data processing, please contact us using the contact details provided. This also includes the right to object to processing for advertising purposes. We will then stop this processing unless it serves overriding interests worthy of protection on our part.

Amendment of our data protection declaration

In order to ensure that our data protection declaration always complies with the current legal requirements, we reserve the right to make changes at any time. This also applies in the event that the data protection declaration has to be adapted due to new or revised services, for example new services. The new data protection statement will then apply the next time you visit our website.
